WE ARE HOBOHUT MEDIA GROUP!

HoboHut Media Group is an Audio Production Company founded by Harry Hughes, based in Sydney Australia.

We’re a firm believer in audio. Too often we see indie films, or small productions that look amazing, and have great talent… But sound awful.

If you work with us you’re in good hands. With over 7 years of experience under our belt, we won’t let you down.

Our Founder of HoboHut Media Group

Harry Hughes

From a young age, Harry has always been interested in Filmmaking and Photography. He’s always had a camera in his hand, taking photos and making home movies.

Fresh out of school our founder Harry knew he wanted to work with audio. In 2016 he undertook a Cert 4 (Then Diploma) in Screen and Media at The Northern Institute.

An industry-focused year-long course that taught him how television stations and film sets worked.

Here HoboHut Media Group was born. Harry began to form client relations and started working on film sets as a sound recordist.

In 2017, Harry continued his studies at the University of New South Wales, undertaking a three-year-long Bachelor of Media Arts, and honing his skills as an Audio Engineer.

Here Harry learned skills in sound design, analogue photography, and other digital media mediums.

In 2017, Harry also began working at Macquarie Media (Now part of Nine Entertainment) as an Audio Producer. Here Harry mixes commercials for the network, is the producer/panel operator for the Camping and Off Road Radio Show, audio producer for Star signs with Coliapi, and produces weekly NRL/AFL audio packages for Nine’s sponsors.

In 2022, Harry began his fourth degree at the Australian Film, Television, Radio School (AFTRS). At AFTRS Harry continued to strengthen his knowledge of the Australian Radio & Podcasting industry, learning in inner workings of a radio station, and how to structure and produce radio and podcast content.
